Obituary of Rhoda Kruchten

Rhoda Mabel Kruchten was born on June 20, 1942, in Galahad, Alberta to Einar and Rhoda Fossen and passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 81 years. She grew up on a farm just west of Forestburg. She graduated nursing school from the University of Alberta and worked at the Daysland Hospital for 32 years.

Rhoda met Neil Kruchten in 1964 and they were married on November 27, 1965. To this union five children were born: Rhonda (Richard) Ronsko, Karen (Jann) Albers, Shelly (Rod) Lindballe, Terry (Theresa) Kruchten, Trudy (Steve) Krozser. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Neil and all her children and grandchildren, one sister Pat (Gordon) McTavish, her brother-in-law Bob (Eveline) Kruchten, and sisters-in-law; Pat Froehler, Judy Kruchten, Elaine Fossen, and Mona Fossen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rhoda was predeceased by her parents Einar and Rhoda Fossen, Neil's parents Reinold and Louise Kruchten, her brothers Einar Fossen and Alan Fossen, and brother-in-law Ralph Froehler.

Visitation for Rhoda will take place Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Interment to follow at the St Martin's Cemetery. 

A time of fellowship and refreshments will take place at the Heisler Hall following the service.
