Obituary of Mina Curtis

Mina was born October 12, 1924 at the Todd farm outside of Strome. She lived her life in Strome until passing away December 26, 2012 at the Daysland Hospital. She will always be remembered for her love of family, her dignity and her grace. She will be greatly missed by Pete, her loving husband of 66 years, her sons David (Charlotte), Bruce (Pat) and her daughter Joan (Charles Stoddart), 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her brother and sister-in-law Buster and Myrna Curtis and brother-in-law Phillip Rawe as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mina was predeceased by her parents, James and Alexina Todd, son Rodney, brothers James, Jock and Alexander and her sister Jane Cathcart. Memorial donations in memory of Mina may be made to the Rosevale Cemetery, the Strome Historical Society or a charity of the donor's choice. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Strome Community Hall. Interment will take place at a later date in the Rosevale Cemetery.
