My condolences to Lucy and family on Tom's death. I was honoured to do business with Tom and I considered him a friend. He was one of the wisest men I know. I visited with him just a few weeks ago when he was in the Killam hospital and will always remember his courage, his counsel and his faith. Kevin

Tom was a giant for King Jesus. An encourager. An advocate for fair and equitable trade in our ag.world. A bit of a visionary. But more than that, he was my brother in the Lord. Heaven has gained a saint. To his family, heartfelt condolences and the comfort only Christ can bring.

I am sending this message of sincere condolences to Lucy and the family on the passing of Tom. Tom was a good person whose life demonstrated his love for God, for his family, and his generosity and care for others. When I think of Tom's character, some words that come to mind are: integrity, ingenuity, loyalty, commitment, hard work, giving, and a life of service and faith in God demonstrated in Tom's action. Tom's life has left an enduring legacy for you his family and friends who knew and loved him.
Tom has moved to his heavenly home and now has the great privilege of worshipping his Savior face to face! While his life is no doubt richer in heaven, and his body free from pain, I know that Tom will be greatly missed here on earth. My prayer is that God will continue to give you all His comfort and peace as you mourn Tom's passing and walk through the days ahead. May your memories of life with Tom bring you and your family comfort and a smile during this difficult time. Praying God's grace, peace and blessing on you and your family.
As I was writing this message, this old song came to mind. I can almost see Tom singing it with great fervor.
"He gave me beauty for ashes
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise
For the spirit of heaviness;
That we might
Be trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord,
That He might be glorified."
With love and prayers,
Valerie Sczebel Cudmore

Tom was very cerebral and analytical. He presented very thoughtful and logical policy positions to the various panels. I appreciated his contributions regarding the Canadian Wheat Board, the Crow Rate subsidy, the Gross Revenue Insurance Policy and The Western Canadian Grain Marketing Panel.
Rest bin Peace Tom. You will be long remembered.

Met Tom at the Alberta Pulse Growers Commission, he would often make a statement or ask a question that he knew would stir the pot but often lead to more discussions and ideas being put forth.
One of a kind, farewell Tom

To Tom’s family. I send my condolences. Tom was a board member with the UCP and Battle River Crowfoot which I am aswell. There is where I meet Tom and had been enlightened by his leadership and intelligence that he shared on the boards. He was very passionate and never held back with his ideas. He loved his place with other minded people when politics and policy’s where for most discussed and debated. He will be missed. His rendition and singing O Canada at our meeting brought us together as Canadians and friends Thank You Tom.
Your Friend Kevin Lang. .
