Obituary of Gerald Ness

Gerald Peter Ness was born in Hardisty, Alberta on September 2, 1938 and passed away January 4, 2024 at the age of 85 years. 

Left to mourn; his wife Susan, daughter Shelley (Kevin) and sons Howard (Allison), Larry (Janelle) and Derek. Grandchildren Jordan (Bodi), Krystin (Justin), Jolene (Tyler), Kyle (Randi), Karla (Justin), Justin (Alyssa), Jeremy (Olivia), Janay, Abby, Jami, Brady and 18 great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by one dear brother Carl (Bud) and nephew Allan (Shirley). 

He was predeceased by his parents Sverre and Mabel, infant great-grandson Letley, brothers Cliff, Bob, Lloyd, sister Irene Burgess, brothers-in-law John Leslie, Rod Doody and sister-in-law Ella Seidlitz. 

A private family celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined. 

Family wishes to thank the staff of Killam Health Centre and the compassionate care shown to him at Centennial Place in Ponoka. 

Thank you to all dad’s friends and community for the support and love shown in the past month. Your acts of kindness gave us strength.
