Obituary of Carol Butcher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Edna Inks Butcher on July 11, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Carol was born on May 21, 1937 in Bonnyville and grew up in the Hardisty/Lougheed area.  She met and married the love of her life, Jim Butcher, in July of 1955.  They had one son, Rick.

Carol became a beloved member of the Butcher family and loved working side by side with Jim and his extended family!  She was a classy lady, hard worker, great cook.  Above all, Carol was a dedicated mom, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter and friend to all who came into her life!  She loved to laugh and spend time around the Kitchen table with family, friends and neighbours!

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Siobhan; her adored grandchildren Sean & Chelsey, Richelle & Jeremy, Craig, Janine, Jacqalyn & Randy; her 7 great-grandchildren Sloane, Zane, Marshall, Grady, Gavin, Emmett and Spencer; her sisters, brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Jim and several beloved family members.

At Carol’s request there will be no formal funeral service, just a family graveside ceremony to celebrate her life.
