Obituary of Don Campbell

It is with great sadness and much love that we say good - bye to a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Don was born May 21, 1929 in Kerrobert, SK and passed away November 27, 2022 in Wainwright hospital at the age of 93 years.

He was predeceased by his parents Kelly and Gladys, sisters Phyllis and Shirley, brothers-in-law Bryan, Len, Ken, Doug and sister-in-law Beverly.

Don will be remembered by his loving wife of 65 years Shirley, sons Warren (Patricia), Terry (Rong) and granddaughter Simone. He will also be missed by his sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law Angela, Jean (George) and brothers-in-law Chuck (Lauren), Jim Tradewell, Jim Lloyd and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don worked for CPR for 34 years and lived in many communities. He had fond memories from time spent in Macklin, Baldewinton, Love, Furness, Neilburg and Hardisty. He enjoyed curling, golf, fishing and all sports. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with Shirley in Yuma, AZ. Don volunteered with many organization including Elks, Hardisty Golf Club and Curling Club.

He may be gone but his memory will not be forgotten. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd at the Hardisty Elks Hall.  Memorial donations in memory of Don may be made to the St. Paul's United Church, Box 35 Hardisty, AB  T0B 1V0.  The family would like to thank Dr. Turner and the nursing staff at the Wainwright Health Centre for the care given to Don.
