Obituary of Richard Erickson

Richard Lloyd Erickson known to most as “Dick” was born October 23, 1929 to John and Emma Erickson and passed away peacefully November 8, 2022 at Killam Health Care Centre. June 6, 1952, Dick married, Lois (Schmutz) on the Schmutz farm north of Sedgewick.

Left to carry his memory forward are Richard (Verna) Erickson, Wendy Erickson, Christal Hagen, Holly Andersen, Dawn (Allen) Klebanowski, Douglas (Lori) Erickson, 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, his sister Idella Glaim and her family in B.C., numerous relatives and friends.

Dick was predeceased by his parents John and Emma (Erickson) Raymond, infant son, wife Lois, son-in-law Andrew (Don) Andersen, son-in-law Eric Hagen, great granddaughter Kelsey Mears-Erickson, great-granddaughter Callie Erickson-Habermehl, brother-in-law Al Glaim, sister Shirley Bovencamp, and brother-in-law Robert Bovencamp. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Sedgewick Nazarene Church. Memorial donations in memory of Dick may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
