Obituary of Lila Davidson

Lila Jennette Ferguson was born March 27, 1926 to Kenneth and Fannie Ferguson, closely followed by her twin brother Leonard. She passed away April 29, 2015 at the age of 89. She grew up on a farm in the Vegreville area with Leonard and her older siblings Ralph and Helen. After high school she attended Normal school for 3 months before being sent out to a 1 room country school. She continued teaching in a number of locations throughout Alberta for the next 14 years. In 1958 she married Don Davidson and moved to his farm near Alliance where she resided for the remainder of her life. Lila and Don raised 5 children. Lila was very active in numerous community organizations and activities as well as keeping busy with gardening and farm work. Lila is survived by her husband of 56 years Donald Davidson. Her brother Ralph Ferguson. Her children Jennifer (Ralph) Boone, Frances (Craig) Holte, Maggie Davidson, Ralph (Beth) Davidson and Helen (Steve Madge) Davidson. Her grandchildren Jennette (Chris) Corsi, Cliff Boone, Heather (Chris) Robblee, Michelle Holte, Cassandra (Devon Bizuk) Holte, Jeff Holte, Brianna Madge, Tyler Madge. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Fannie, her sister Helen Noster, and brother Leonard Ferguson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Alliance Community Hall. Donations in Lila's memory may be made to the Alliance United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or charity of donor's choice.
