Obituary of Keith Fossen

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Keith Fossen announces his sudden passing in a motor vehicle accident on December 4th 2014 at age 79. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years Eva, daughters Eva Lynn (Richard), Karen and granddaughter Jasmin; sister Doreen Oberg and her children Judy (Don), Linda (Lynn), Ed (Gayle); brother-in-law Rod Russell (Sharon) and their children Dione and Paige and many close relatives and friends. Keith spent his whole life being an active member of the Forestburg community. His involvement in sports, air cadets, the Masonic Lodge, Battle River Shrine, and Eastern Star earned him many close friends and the respect of all. Some of Keith's happiest moments were when he was surrounded by family and friends or sitting by the fire at Seymour Arm with his extended family or driving the boat for hours on end so everyone on the beach could ski. Keith was not only good at playing sports, especially basketball and hockey, but he was also a masterful coach who could make everyone feel self-confident and proud of their effort. His heart and home were always open to everyone. A celebration of Keith's life will be held at the Forestburg Community Center at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 10th, 2014.
