Obituary of Margaret Blumhagen

Margaret Elizabeth Blumhagen was born to Michael and Margaret Keichinger of Alliance on November 10, 1918. She attended school in Bedford and then high school in Alliance. She helped out on her parents' farm until her marriage to Herman Blumhagen on October 1, 1940. Margaret and Herman farmed in the Alliance area until 1975. In 1984 they moved to Killam. In 1999 after Herman's death, Margaret moved to Camrose. In 2007 because of failing health she moved to Edmonton where she resided until her death. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her children: Arlene (Hubert) of Edmonton and Lois (Leo) of Calgary; five grandchildren: Marcia, Roderick (Heather), Nyssa (Blair), Justin (Laren), Jill (Ryan) and ten great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Herman, three brothers Leonard, Lawrence, Michael and one sister Louise. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
