Obituary of Alan Gaume

Alan was born to Elmo and Johanna Gaume at Killam, AB on October 29, 1934. After a lengthy illness, he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 8, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Alan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy of Killam, his daughter Allison (Howard Ness) of Lougheed, his daughter Carmen (Glen King) of Wainwright, his son Brent (Leanne) of Killam and his son Murray (Karen) of Killam. He loved and enjoyed time with his grandchildren, Kyle (Randi), Karla, Justin, Paige, Matthew, Steven and Sarah. He is also survived by his two brothers, Brian (Rena), Dale and their families. One sister-in-law Betty (Mike) Smith and family. Alan was predeceased by his father, Elmo, in 1989; his mother, Johanna, in 2002; his mother-in-law, Marge, in 2009, his father-in-law, Joe, in 1988 and his sister-in-law, Nikki, in 2009. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Killam Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Alan may be made to the Killam Cemetery Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
